How would I know?

How would I know what love may be,
What sorrows it may shred?
No matter who has worshipped me,
I liked my feelings - dead.

My passions raged, and raised the seas,
And thundered through the skies.
How would I choose what can't be seen,
What's hidden in disguise?

I mastered suffering and pain,
Away from calmer paths,
And learned it all - and learned in vain,
Since never learned to love.

Cogito ergo doleo

Once I heard you never new love until you learned to love yourself as other people would. Until then your so called love is all angst and pain, whereas true love is sheer bliss. Or maybe bliss is too sheer for passions. They are the ones that bring suffering.

Love your work. Despite all the rage and range of emotions, it's sheer bliss.
:D
