SONG FOR KIM

I got lost when we met,
was totally confused.
I was walking like a dead,
does hell have any news?

Back then my past was buried,
the future wasn’t promised to begin.
If I have something to tell you
this is the song for Kim

We have experienced orphanhood
that we’re trying to forget.
Everything is understood
And all the words are said.

I kept a balance in between,
something good and bad.
Since the day I met Kim
I have a reason to regret

CHORUS:

Rock me la-la,
you rock me la-la,
you rock me la-la-la

Sister, give me a dish with rice
and teach me how to love.
There’s something blue in your angel eyes,
you know the world is tough

Talking of love, what does it mean
when napalm’s dropping down?
I forgot to ask you Kim
when you were around

Chorus:

I have escaped into myself
from the world outside
by the time when I got back
I found that my soul died

I remember that I had friends
we were certainly a team.
Thanks to them, if there is any sense
in this song for Kim

Chorus:

Brother, tell me why you were killed
in the jungle-woods?
And those guys how do they feel
in their quiet neighborhoods?

I thought this world fell apart,
and I lost my dream.
But it all ended on the day
the day when I met Kim

Chorus:

Is she a messenger of love
in this cruel world?
B52 turns into a dove
when you look at this girl.

The other day, when I was scared
like the guy on “The Scream”
she spreads her wings, she touches down
she says my name is Kim

** Yesterday (27.01.10) I have learned that at least two Songs for Kim were in pop-music history. I have googled the title of the song and found them. The first one was made long ago in 1986 by a band called Concrete Blonde, the second one was written couple of years ago by Australian band The Wellingtons. Both songs are fine, but I had no idea about them in November 2009, while making these lyrics
