A traveller sitting under the tree
In it’s shadow at 12 a.m.
I’m sure to say, just couldn’t be
More thankful than I am.
A cat murmuring at your knees
And thanking for the food
I’m sure to say, just couldn’t be
More thankful than I would.
And all the people you can see
Who’re grateful for all good
I’m sure to say, just couldn’t be
More thankful than I would.
And I thank you for being with me
And never being rude
And thank you for not leaving me
Although I know you could.
And thank you for not crying at me
And keeping up my mood
And even now I just can’t be
As thankful as I should
So thanks for being the only friend
That never will decieve
And our family and cats
Will be thankful till we live.
