I now enjoy mornings...

I now enjoy mornings,
In puddles, & rain remembering journeys
Now, I wish quite carefully
Not to rain on your parade
I hear my heart beating,
A heart that’s afraid
Your role is ironic
While on the cold floor I lay with a condition that’s chronic
& ask, if I may…
If years passed by & I not able to forgive
What would you do, just how much would you give?
If we again met,
Would you look me in the eye & mention regret?
& if our eyes once again saw
Would you ever apologize without saying a word,
Or pretend that walking all over me has never occurred?
Don’t expect me to ever speak
Look in the mirror, & remember telling people I was weak?
