I still remember

I still remember my hometown.
It was like prison, but it was mine.
Just walking under darkened skies.
Will I return there? I don’t mind.

You left without saying goodbye.
My memories say I could have tried.
But I just didn’t, I fell apart
And now I’m here playing like God.

This fog and lies, and all the same.
I’ve just connected a stupid game.
This night I saw the same old dream.
And there were only you and me.

There was I, standing in the rain.
There was I, soaring of pain.
And I was happy, you could see.
You called me by my simple name.

I woke up, I realized
That was a dream, nightmare of mine.
These empty faces all around.
Someday I’ll finally be down.

But now I’m here. I stand alone.
Not happy. Not at least just gone.
My lies are blind leading the blind.
And so I stand on my knees and I just bleed in the streetlight.

And I was happy, you could see.
You[’ve called] me by my simple name.

I woke up, I realized
That was a dream, nightmare of mine.

Whether it's a typo or whatever, the square-bracketed is definitely a Grammar mistake.

...The rest is for those who understand the poem.
