The cradle's still empty...
Though it's too... make-believe...
But I'll have just... a doll...
To play a new role...
Not to get, maybe, week,
But to get myself ready...
I will draw you in mind:
The eyes still are closed,
You've been dreaming all right.
I will hear a cry
I'll pretend to suppose
Though there's no one around.
But I believe that one day
This will happen and I'll
Have a baby by you.
My dream will come true!
And like a small new-born child
I'll start living again!...
The cradle s still empty...
