Я радуюсь жизни и радуюсь звукам

Я радуюсь жизни и радуюсь звукам,
Живительным, в засуху каплям дождей.
Я радуюсь счастью и радуюсь мукам
И миру прекрасных душою людей.

Я радуюсь запахам, радуюсь свету,
Садовым цветам и цветам полевым.
Я радуюсь нежному сердцу поэта,
Которому век простучать молодым.

Я радуюсь солнцу и радуюсь ночи,
Природе земли и небес чудесам.
Я радуюсь песням про чёрные очи
И синим, зелёным и серым глазам.

Я радуюсь волнам седых океанов,
И яркому блеску зеркальных озёр.
Я радуюсь рокоту снежных буранов,
Спокойствию грозному царственных гор.

Я радуюсь мыслям и радуюсь чувствам,
Покою и взрывам горячих страстей.
Я радуюсь чуду любого искусства
И жизни любимых моих сыновей.

Я радуюсь былям и радуюсь сказкам,
Всему, что способно разжечь мою кровь.
Я радуюсь вечно волнующим ласкам
И праву на эту земную любовь.

I Rejoice in Life, I Rejoice in Sounds

I rejoice in life, and I rejoice in sounds,
In life-giving drops of rain in the thirsty land.
I rejoice in happiness, and in sorrow’s bounds,
And in beautiful souls that walk this world hand in hand.

I rejoice in fragrances, I rejoice in light,
In garden flowers and blossoms of the field.
I rejoice in the poet’s tender heart and bright,
Whose youth through all the years remains unsealed.

I rejoice in the sun, and I rejoice in the night,
In earthly nature and the wonders of the skies.
I rejoice in songs of dark and lovely eyes,
And in blue, green, and gray eyes’ gentle light.

I rejoice in waves of the oceans vast and gray,
And in the shining mirrors of the lakes so clear.
I rejoice in the roar of snowstorms on their way,
And in the solemn calm of mountains grand and near.

I rejoice in thoughts, and I rejoice in feeling,
In quiet peace and flames of passionate fire.
I rejoice in every art’s miraculous revealing,
And in the lives of my beloved sons, my heart’s desire.

I rejoice in truths and I rejoice in tales,
In all that can set my blood and spirit free.
I rejoice in endless tenderness that never fails,
And in my right to earthly love and to be.
