В холодной темнице жду колокола звон,.
Я вспоминаю жизнь свою, она уходит под уклон.

Ведь в 5 часов прейдет моей уж казни срок.
Песок в моих часах, увы, истёк...

Пусть прочтет все молитвы священник,
Я взгляну в окно с отвращением,
В этот мир, что был так жесток со мной.

Может это чья-то ошибка?
В сердце страх холодный и липкий...
Это явь или же сна прибой?

Люди,скажите, что мне это снится!
Тяжело не кричать и молиться,

Я в слезах, почему же я плачу?

По темнице с конвоем иду я.
