Четыре дня осталось до того
Не понимаю только одного
Летают птицы, слышны голоса
И не растут на них уж волоса

Один из них, стал собираться в путь
Другому дал воды он похлебнуть
Дал третьему он плуг и два весла
Четвёртый знал все числа без числа

Он пятому об этом рассказал
С Шестым он стал и два снопа связал
Седьмому было жаль то не дано
Зашёл он в дверь, но выпрыгнул в окно

Восьмой писал металом по стене
Всем рассказал, что видел он во сне
Девятый обрывая жизни нить
Стоял, смотрел, искал с чего налить

Десятому он преподал урок
Читать тот мог, но только между строк
Одинадцтый стоял и пояснял
Одел пальто но тут же его снял

Двенадцатый пришёл на новый год
Часы он им пустил наоборот
Тринадцатый не понял что к чему
То не постичь было его уму

Четырнадцатый ветер разгонял
Одним отдал, а у других отнял
Пятнадцатый ему не мог помочь
Шел за днём день и шла за ночью ночь

Шестнадцатый входил к ним по воде
Хоть был он здесь, но вроде был нигде
Семнадцатому он всё объяснил
И этот разговор их не стеснил

Был восемнадцатый в общеньи с ними прост
Его товар всегда имел там спрос
Но девятнадцатый того не покупал
Стоял, стоял, но вдруг потом упал

Двадцатый тут на помощь прибежал
Но тот уж без сознания лежал!

...

Four days left before that
There's only one thing I don't understand
Birds are flying, voices are heard
And they don't grow any more hair on them.

One of them began to get ready to leave
He gave the other one some water to drink
He gave the third a plow and two oars.
The fourth knew all the numbers without a number

He told the fifth about it.
He joined the Sixth and tied two sheaves.
The seventh was sorry that it was not given
He went in the door, but jumped out the window.

The eighth wrote with metal on the wall
He told everyone what he had seen in his dream.
The ninth severing the thread of life
I stood, looked, and looked for something to pour

He taught the tenth a lesson.
He could read, but only between the lines.
The fourth stood and explained
He put on his coat but immediately took it off

The twelfth came on New Year's Eve
He gave them the opposite watch.
The thirteenth did not understand what was going on
It was beyond his comprehension

The fourteenth wind dispersed
I gave it to some, and took it away from others.
Fifteen couldn't help him.
Day followed day and night followed night

The sixteenth entered them by water
Even though he was here, he seemed to be nowhere.
He explained everything to the Seventeenth
And this conversation didn't bother them.

I was the eighteenth to communicate with them.
His product has always been in demand there
But nineteen didn't buy it.
I was standing, standing, but then suddenly I fell

The twentieth came running to help
But he was already unconscious!
