Kindest celebration

       By V. Fomina

       December evening, dark, a snowfall,
A heavy frost as Lady Winter’s puppet,
Tremendous skies, the Moon – an argent ball,
       Delightful snowflakes, a brilliant carpet.

December evening, gleams, the sweetest place,
The fire burning with a roaring sound,
Its dancing sparks, the mother’s dear face,
Armchairs, glasses, wine, friends coming round.

December midnight, stars, a splendid sight,
A cherished dream and someone’s secret hope,
Five knitted stockings hanging in moonlight,
The spirit of true magic in the globe.

December morning, dawn, the first Sun’s ray,
       Awakening, delight, congratulation,
Toys, children’s shining smiles, the brightest day,
A Christmas tree, a happy celebration.
