I Wish I Was an Angel...

I wish I was an angel,
I’m sure it would be better so:
I wouldn’t fear any danger,
Among the clouds would I flow…

I wish I was an angel
And had a pair of wings
With soft white little feathers –
Like on the bird that every morning sings…

I wish I was an angel
Without head or brain;
For people – just an unseen stranger
Incapable of feeling pain…

I wish I was an angel –
A self without nerves or tears…
I would be happy every minute,
I’d never be subject to fears!

I wish I was an angel…
I’d rather never love!
I would forget about wasted time
And lightly fly somewhere above…

I wish I was an angel:
No breakdowns and no stress!
And I’d forget my stupid life
That’s always been a growing mess!

I wish I was an angel –
No hopes, no thoughts, no life, no stakes…
I’d feel no joy or anger,
I’d make not a mistake!

I wish I was an angel –
No fault and no regret…
I would be very happy then
Just never feeling sad!

“I wish I was an angel”,
Today I’ve frankly said…
But whether will I really be –
Don’t know and will I never bet!...
