The Shore

When I haven't a hope in that strange crazy land,
When the desert creeps into my soul with confusion,
Someone shows me my old and forgotten illusion,
Someone draws silhouettes on a wet sticky sand.

Should I need to forget and cross out - but no trust,
Should I need to blind it - that's the final decision.
But the bridge with a girl floats to me like a vision
And the shore comes to me like a friend from my past.

       Chorus:
Oh, my shore! Oh, my shore!
Every now and again I swim more, I swim more.
Could I save anything in my life,
Could I meet whom I need being alive -
Only God knows about it and you, my sweet shore.

I can see that steep shore in an emerald floor,
I can hear azure waves which are splashing so keenly.
And I certainly know I'm the same, I am greenie,
I am greenie again like this shore, like this shore...

       Chorus.
