To My Heart

What do you think of it, my Heart?
He's silent, but you're beating louder.
What story lies there inside,
I know. But I'm no more a fighter!

To love him is the source of tears,
But yet it's my best consolation.
What should I do with all these tears?
What should I do with his deception?

My mind's confused and you're demanding:
You need him closer, next to me.
Oh, how I do agree, my Darling!
Oh, how I wish he would be near!

His tender hugs and warming kisses...
The only things I've kept in mind.
I know that you're the one I listen,
But you love him, and so do I!

But pulling ourselves together
We should be strong to hold the side -
And then we'll have him nigh forever,
And then we'll win this bloody fight!

I have read it several times. This poem hurts soul. How deep, how emotional... and how direct... like arrow, flying to the heart.
