Reality Check

We are drifting slowly apart,
Time makes distance longer and longer,
Understanding is becoming an art,
After fights our feelings aren’t stronger.

Many people were strangers at night,
Now they seem much closer than you,
We are not wrong, nor are we right,
But we stick to our views.

Yes, we question our emotions,
The intention of forthcoming actions,
Doubts are present about the devotion,
Every touch is a subject for sanctions.

We are simply breeding the hate
So successfully towards each other,
And we don’t think that our fate
Brought us closer -
That was another

Deception- reality check is failing,
The impact of days passing by on me,
Rejection and brutal existence prevailing
Over the living…

Future plans, we continue debating,
And this vagueness results in scarring,
One of us is so tired of waiting,
While the other one hates to be hurried.

Nothing’s left but the fading reflection
Of the memories in the steel of a needle
I’ve replaced my thoughts with an injection
Taking care of the ill-fated riddle
