It's not an easy word to say,
It's dark as night and bright as day,
It TAKES and HURTS and BITES and KILLS
But SAVES and HELPS and THRIVES and GIVES!
No man or woman can be made
to say it...that is to PRETEND.
No other word demands from us
Such frankness as this strange one does.
It seemed so difficult for you
To tell me:"Dear, I LOVE you too".
It only means that now and then
You NEVER used that word in vain...
Just A Word?..
