Life’s a marathon of dreams and hopes…
Will I fly from the highest cliff
or get pushed in a void of dopes
ever stoned or drunk or stiff?

Will I ever step out of the shade?
Will I ever call a spade a spade?
Will I ever show how I feel
when locked up in a doorless booth?
Will I have the courage to kneel
if I’m guilty of slaughtering Truth?

Life’s the longest distance marathon,
and it seems to go on and on…
But one day I’ll get distraught
by the circles of the divine…
One more round, one more thought –
and I’ll cross the finish line…
