every day
i only see
and hear them say
on tee vee
and every night
i only read
and see on a web-site
that we go the wrong way
every day
every night
i ask myself what’s the right
way
every day
i hear them say
on the radio
that there’s no
way
every day
cause we pay
our soul, mind and heart
that there’s no art
cause we sit in a lay
every day
but!
i’m sure i may
create my own way
and i’ll stand them say
that there’s no way
and they won’t dismay
me and i’ll win the game
that all people play
called ‘life’ and i’ll stay
unique and i won’t obey
what they say
cause i know the right way
it’s in my soul, mind and heart
which i didn’t pay
and i’ll make my own art
and there’s no ‘but!’
every day
