Moments flare in journeys -
a mirage, an inn, a hostelry;
fish in an oasis or refractions
of a desert sky; bream
eluding anglers' strategies
to stay alive; water as a prism
that can bend a laser ray awry.
Astro-memory must transit
dark matter and galaxies
in acts of metastasis,
revelations of nocturnal skies,
star-icons gifting to the gaze
millennia of yesterdays,
light years synthesising
space with time.
Vision is alchemical, a lens
transforming mind and eye,
a vagabond to worlds beyond
the astro-caravanserai…
