I tried to walk the road with you
You kicked my shin and ran away.
I tried to walk the rope with you
You knocked me down and I fell flat.
I let you walk inside my heart
You stomped on it without regret.
I tried to hold my head up high
You smacked me down upside the head.
I built a heart from pure stone
With some cement and rubber glue.
I feel no pleasure and no pain
I’m happy now. It’s true, it’s true!
I hope this heart will never break
And even when I die alone
I’ll be content with love and life,
Because I’ll still be on my throne.
