When you are floating in the sea,
And when your boat is ship-wrecked,
When you are sinking, you are dying,
You always feel for a lifebelt.
And you will see that you’ll be saved,
The most important is your desire
To stay alive and not to drown.
When you are drifting on the waves of life,
When a trouble’s stifling, sorrow’s killing,
You’re on your knees and desperately crying,
Please, grasp the lifebelt of optimism,
And you will see that you’ll be saved,
The pain will go away and the dazzling sun
Will be brightly shining.
