Another Holy War

… With their tanks, and their bombs
And their bombs, and their guns
In your head, in your head
  They are dying…
(«The Cranberries» «Zombie»/«No Need To Argue»/1994)

Another world is on the fire, the war is close to us,
another one, who lived in peace, became an ashy dust.
There are no heroes anymore, 'cause everyone betrays,
and there is no time to relax, though it's a sunny day.

Another zombie rides so fast, another human dies,
there are no wizards, dwarfs, and elves, it's not a paradise.
Another junkie dies behind the wall of awful aches.
What can we do right now, my friend, to remedy mistakes?

'Cause we don't need another war to fight,
and we don't need another enemy,
we surely know who are we all inside,
so we don't need another tragedy…

And people die, they starve and thirst, the winner takes it all,
'cause only winner will stand tall, another one will fall.
Another nation rules the world, the winner takes his slave,
another pain, disease, then death, and finally, the grave.

Their children and their women cry, their men are mostly dead,
and all their houses and their things became so bloody red…
But there are people in mankind, who pray for freedom times,
they fight for it, and someone dies… But we shall win somehow!

An' I don't need another war to fight,
an' I don't need another misery,
you surely know that we're so kind inside,
but we don't have to paint our history
with blood…

And we don't need another holy war,
'cause we don't need another rain of blood,
'cause we all know that no one wins at all,
and no one wants to eat that wayside mud…
