Autumn

I open my window wide

The gust of wind throws my hair in my face.

I laugh…

My beloved autumn,

Thank you for the freshness of your being,

And for clusters of scarlet rowan berries

Bowing to the naughty wind.

Thank you for your rainy days

When, slowly sipping herbal tea,

I look at your crystal tears

Sliding down the window-pane

As I muffle into a cozy sweater.

Thank you for your palette of colours

Of warmth and acceptance.

Red, orange and gold,

They make me feel special…

They remind me of home…

My beloved autumn,

I’d share my secrets with you

If only you stayed…

If only you stayed…
