Under the Moonlight Veil
In the dark veil of the mist.
The moonlight was penetrating
Through the window glass
Embracing everything around.
There were two lovers
Sitting by the grand piano,
Plunged into the river of light.
The warm summer wind
Was blowing into the open doors
Touching her hair
With his invisible fingers
But she didn’t notice…
All the world
Was blooming with a feeling
That was shining in his eyes
When she played for him..
And even a nightingale
In the moist garden
Was repeating the sounds
Of tiny silver bells
Gently tinkling in the air.
Their lips enmeshed.
Their souls entwined.
Their lives became as one.
In the midnight
When two shadows melted into the darkness,
She dropped a rose from her hands,
And in utter silence,
Only delicate petals of the flower
Were trembling on the white keys
Of the grand piano…
