What was it? перевод

I was walking in winter by marrish
Wearing gumshoes, a hat
And gig-lamped.
Overnight someone streamed over river
With some metalline hooks on the feet.
So I rapidly ran to the river
But he tailed away to the woods
And two breds he confexed then there
And he squatted,
And jolted,
Dissolved
I’ve been standing long after by river
I’ve been thinking and took glasses off:
“However what strange breds I saw
And no less inconceivable hooks!”
