New Freedom

I ‘ve moved across the planet to my adopted land.
I live behind “Looking Glass” with Jacaranda trees
and now I call “my home” this Alice’s wonderland.
It's weaving lilac trumpets in a magic lace of bliss.

For so many years I thought myself a halfwit -
nobody is getting the proverbial “free lunch”.
For everything I gained, I always felt pavid,
knocked senseless, numb, speechless, I needed a crutch.

The debt has now been settled with God - he gave me credit,
white magic occurred, my wishes came true.
Few sloppy but lyrical lines I may edit
admiring miraculous lilac and blue.
