Beneath primordial bright sky,
first aspirated human cry,
first impulse of the soul, the quest;
and with the birth of mind's unrest -
its urge to seek and signify -
emerge the archetypes of East and West.
In sea's sublime limpidity
the sand seeks its epiphany;
children of the cosmic lotus
by love's covenant can stand
within that curving shore's sweet compass,
touching heaven, hand in hand.
