I'm walking down the desert street,
The hopeless scene, no one to meet;
I'm looking up to gloomy skies,
Reflecting darkness in my eyes.
The tiny drops of falling rain
Merge in my soul in frightful chain;
And day by day - it's all the same,
The wind is calling out your name.
The shadows're dancing all around,
My fancy takes me far away from ground;
I'd like not being in despair,
But it's a cross I have to bear...
The flow of tears runs down my face,
The birds're soaring with special grace;
I hear my voice somewhere afar,
While heart is breaking into parts.
And bitter pain U've left me with,
I try to hide from deep wild fears;
Recalling past is all I've got,
I'm tired of asking U "why not?"
The chilly air refreshes my mind,
One soul like mine I wonna find,
I beg I'll never suffer more -
Your love is all I'm longing for!..
