Voland s Bride

Oh cold-eyed moon, whose sober gaze
No mercy has on my disgrace!
Oh silver stars, that shine so bright
And witness me along my flight!

My naked feet, defiant eyes
Cause all my inner thoughts to rise;
My naked thoughts make me so light
In frightening pleasures and delight.

The spirits come and take my hands:
I feel the nature with its scents…
But in the coolness of the night
I do not know whether it’s right…

The golden dragon in the cave –
It’s sleeping there, unknown and safe –
He doesn’t know about my pride:
I am the youngest witch tonight!

I feel the magic in my pulse,
When the orchestra starts the waltz.
I feel some stunning happy fright,
When Voland calls me out his bride…
