Paradox

He’d give her all that she could ask:
His present, future and his past,
His dreams and thoughts throughout the day,
All words he thought he’d never say.

He’d give her sun; he’d give her moon;
He’d light the stars above the dune.
He’d make the ocean kiss her toes,
And wind would blow away her woes.

The spring would only come for her.
Sand would be softer on the shore.
Grass would be greener where she walked.
All doors would open if she knocked.

He’d give her all that he could give:
His love, his life…god, how naпve!

He still can do all of that stuff,
But she’s a lesbian.
How rough.
