I know that I will have a calm profile F. G. Lorca

I know that I will have a calm profile
that of the northern unreflecting sky:
chaste mirrors, vigil mercury will try
to break the pulse of my impatient style.

For ivy and cool sheets would reconcile
with the abandoned body that was I,
my image in the sand will be the sly
unblushing silence of a crocodile.

And though no flaming tastes, nor that of sweets
my tongue, a frozen dove, would ever gain
but only the taste of bitter weeds,

a sign of life suppressed I will remain,
my throat, a dry stiff branch that breaks and splits,
and in the dahlias that live with endless pain.

Thank you. My work here is mostly technical (although not easy). I was trying to give justice to Lorca who is a truly great poet.
