On a marble crystal planet lived a wizard

On a marble crystal planet lived a wizard.
Being young, he once believed in love and freedom -
Poor magician now thought that grief was wisdom
And that living is identical to breathing.

He forgot about singing with the mermaids,
Playing billiards with his wand and with the planets,
He confused all treasures fake with those sterling
And forgot, poor man, that living equals playing,

And that smiles are the currency to goals,
That you need no reigns at all to ride the clouds.
Dropping tears, his own destiny he stole,
Being once a knight, a poet, now - a clown.

And he threw his magic wand across the blackness,
Died an artist: smiling, crying, living, sketching,
And the wand is flying still, yet being reckless,
Bold, adventurous - the only way to catch it.
