Old Irish wisdom

             To K.

Drink whiskey
to prevent disease
and listen what
the matter is:

A long disease
doesn"t tell a lie;
it kills at last –
a man will die.
Death does not come
without a cause.
Watch out, old chap,
it stays so close.
You see? Death never
comes too late.
Drink whiskey
to postpone that date.

...Forget the bait, calm down and relax.
Reach for the gold and not for all that glitters.
...A heavy leather chair, green brass tacks,
A lemon rind, ice-cubes, a dash of bitters.
