The poems are very intimate, heart-warming, and easy to "digest" yet are melancholic with a trace of sadness. However, they a perfect example of life-affirming poetry, which encourage readers to go the extra mile, go beyond the obvious and think outside the box.

The expressions the author uses are of a classical nature intertwining human relationships in all its aspects, state of mind and surrounding environment. It is also evident the nature is a muse to the author, such as Puget Sound in the Greater Seattle in Washington State. The below lines is a vivid example:

And your sailboat, and Puget Sound,
And the beauty of water around
And my lips, which are close to your eyes,
And the coldness in hands from the ice

The author uses transitions with such an ease and a great skill. The rhyming is very much an example of classical poetry's influence on the author. While the author's command of English is excellent, there is a trace of Russian melancholy found in the works of Russian classics. This makes the author's poems unique, edgy and attention-grabbing. What is also interesting is that the author's structuring makes an excellent use of the law of vowel harmonisation that is prevalent in Kyrgyz poets' works.

The poems serve as an invitation to explore the world full of feelings the way the author sees it. It is admirable – personally for me – that the author rhymes instead of free versing which is very common among modern poets.

Finally, it is very rare to find a non-native English-speaker who writes in English in admirable fashion.
