Distant Star

Рита Топалиди
By the window in the twilight
He was thinking in his mind
That tonging fire got him tired
And turning slowly into blind…

In the twilight, very nightly
Sparkling closely in the steep,
Woken up and seemed so briskly,
Went back into deepest sleep

And floating in the silent bay
The star was moving far away…
While in the twilight, he’s so,
Standing under spraying snow

Expressing hurt of bygones
As the winter aestivates,
Standing sleepless till the sun,
Cause she was single, only one…

Aware she’s close until he mars
Admitted faults and deepest scars -
She’s present distant hazy star
For him, a dim lightening afar…
