For the past year I thank You,
For all that there were joys and tears.
For the moonlight and the clear dawn,
For the summer heat and severe frosts.
For the fact that I still walk the Earth,
I can dream and cry and laugh.
For what I still hold in my hands
I love my hands and can touch them.
God bless the new year, too,
A blessing will be may the road,
And a clear, bright, clear sky,
That on direct ways feet went.
Bless your family and friends,
By his grace covering,
Touch their souls with the healing world
And make them the heirs of Paradise.
Thank you for my life,
For all that was in it, and is, and will be.
