Two Giants

With hat on casted gold
A Russian giant centuries old
Awaited for another one -
From lands foreign, far.
Behind the mountains, steppes,
Already rose triumphant talks.
So both at least for once decided
To show their strength and try it.
The newly minted bold
Came with a fearsome war,
And reached out daring hand -
Now foe’s crown is grabbed.
But Russian giant
With fatal smile replied:
He gazed – and tossed his head…
The dared gasped and fell!
But fell down in a faraway sea
Onto the not known reefs,
Where the storm in vastness
Rages above the deeps.
