The world is beautiful in its pre-dawn sad silence

The world is beautiful in its pre-dawn sad silence.
It’s spreading out, filling the night faded sky.
There is no sound. Even a fast river current
is slowing down to muffle the playful babbling cry.

And stars are sparkling, closely looking in the mirror
of the black water, slightly dusted with small fluffs,
which have been flocked from deeply sleeping silver willows
by naughty wind, rocking on branches as in arms.

Everything rests before sunrise puts down the fire
of the enormous slightly blinking gold night-lamp.
Everything rests in a fragile pre-dawn sad silence
under the moon’s amazing round waxy stamp.
