A meer of stale

Алексей Иродиадов Гаулиш
Darker than darkness, murker than nothingness
Oblivion a harness, shadowin' a prowess
Have made one too weak, too strong a hireling
for elder gods to turn ashes into pound sterling
My SELF is fading via immolative glowing
Of my awareness and self-esteem in becoming
From years of yore and days of gloam* shining
With frailty, cheap stuff what's instead of highness
And filthy deeds pretending to be mightiness

gloam* the English synonimous for "dusk", "twilight"  (russian "сумрак, сумерки")
