The Beginning

Åôèì Òûðàéêèí
Sometimes your life feels like a downward slope
Someone’s around but heart is filed with ash
There are commitments, routine, sleep and falls.
And then comes sorrow drown in the rush

You cram your daily tasks in schedule’s days and mornings
But evening’s destination is always left intact
A class, and other one, and, Lucky!... Your milonga.
But u’re not here... We should somehow coact

I’m standing at the bar, refilling way too often,
Clasping my hands, and hugging coming friends.
I watch the entrance, avoiding  passing glances,
And clench my fingers to make them tremble less

Indeed it is… just an excuse to see you,
To ask how your day's been, surprise you, make u smile.
To dine together, hug you, letting go much sooner,
Than passes that "forever and a while".

The other day while looking at the photos,
To feel the knees touched, as though just by chance,
And whispering a question in the ear,
Abruptly fall close to your head in trance

To bring some new ones to replace those flowers
Which petals are soon to start to fall,
To be ashamed of joke being too revealing,
And to bemoan this being so short - your last awol.

To part, to tear the last and rigid minute
To hug with in despair feeble hands
To soothe in you that precious trembling
That far above most priceless treasures stands
