Giant and Lilliputian

By a river -  no, not a river just
                a one step-wide muddy rillet,
By a hill - not even a hill a crust,
                a bump, ikebana hillock
Run a wavy, grassy and joyful  path
which the smallest of Giants took,
So small Giant was that his huge-huge nose
tallest grass covered fully - Look!

All this real staff: rivers, towns, hills
even if they are very small,
Is big for Lilliputian on the path
though, for Lills, he is much too tall.
So tall as his Lilliputian name
when you put it up on its tail.

      Gi was happy to meet
he invited him sharing the trail.

Lilliputian walked many days and miles
he was hairy and somewhat crass,
And he cried that he’d eat whatever he’d find
on this wavy and curvy path.
But his high voice was heard by path’s insects -
who were hiding faster than fast.
He was hungry and happy to be Gi guest
he would get some dinner at last.

They sit at the table too small for Gi
but much too large for Lill
But they talk and talk, their talk’s full of jokes
and gives them more pleasure than a fill
The end of the story’s simple and clear
smallest Giant you’re or tall Lill
By waking and taking together you’ll find
that the friendship’s not over the hill.
