Бизоны исчезли.
И те, кто видел бизонов, изчезли.
Кто видел тысячные стада бизонов и как они
взбивали прерию в пыль своими копытами,
низкие большие головы их, уходящих
в грандиозном триумфе сумерек,
Те, кто видел бизонов, исчезли.
И бизоны исчезли.

The buffaloes are gone.

Those who saw the buffaloes by thousands and how they
pawed the prairie sod into dust with their hoofs,
their great heads down pawing on in a great pageant
of dusk,
