The Star Dragons and the Moon Rabbits

Анна Чижова
Among constellations through the stardust,
Mysterious dragons lead their paths.
They float about the mystical space...
An almighty, magical, mythical race...

The legends about the Dragons go far.
They reach all the corners. And somewhere afar
In their so tiny and tenuous place
The Moon Rabbits dream about that race.

While living in quiet they think day by day
How the Dragons explore lands far away.
And looking at pale and familiar hills
They wish they could fly and think how it feels.

They dream of the travels and other new worlds.
They fantasize about large fjords
And exquisite beauty of the Universe.
The Moon Rabbits wish their life were reverse.

Meanwhile somewhere in a remote place
wanders in silence the loneliest race.
Wherever they wanted to go and to stay
They met only fear, aggression and pain.

The stars cannot warm their big lonely hearts.
The space winds are rough, they dash, tear apart.
The mystical depth of the outer space
Is no more amusing. It's full of disgrace.

And hiding from violence, lost in the space,
The Dragons sing songs about the race,
That peacefully lives on the pale, shining fields,
And wish they had home, where serenity wields.
