We play people

Ìóðçèí Àëåêñåé Íèêîëàåâè÷
We show our teeth - pretend to smile,
We say “love you” - we mean “I’m sorry”.
We become normal for a while,
When it’s about the end of a story.

We say “hello” - we mean “goodbye”,
We wish “good luck” - we mean “no sorrow”.
When we are hurt - we shout and cry,
But we don’t regret until tomorrow.

With masks on faces - we play roles,
With masks on souls - we play people.
Instead of hearts - we have black holes,
We live our lives - as we are sleeping.

We say “it’s great” - we mean “no way”,
We plead forgiveness, when it’s over.
We’re keep on losing our faith,
We wish just to be supernovas.

We smile “good day” - we think “not now”,
We say our prayers - but no one answers.
We want to be the sacred cows,
For aliens by any chances.

With masks on faces - we play roles,
With masks on souls - we play people.
Instead of hearts - we have black holes,
We live our lives - as we are sleeping.
