What if

Дарья Ахинеева
What if the school was a place,
Where children would've been prepared for the adult life?

What if the teacher asked his pupils:
– Who wants their feelings to be denied?
And everybody'd raise their hands.
What if he asked if there was anyone in the room
Who wanted to lose people they love, one way or another,
And everybody'd raise their hands.
What if he said that everyone of them'd hurt people around them by accident or intendedly,
What if he asked if they'd love themselves after all,
And there'd be silence.
What if he told them that everyone of them'd want to kill themselves one day,
And there'd be silence.

And that'd be the school of truth and tears,
And kids'd cry all together,
And their raised hands'd melt in the light of their childhood.
