Angels

Варвара Костерецкая
Angels never fall down from the sky.
They are born on Earth every century.

Angels never deserve to die,
But the most of them are in the cemetery.

Angels cry when all people laugh,
They are burning when people need light.

Angels are alone when people make love,
When people surrender, angels still fight,

They drown with the ship to make people safe,
They explode with the Sun protecting humanity,

They aren't like us but they can pretend,
They are better than us for our infirmity.

Angels never fall down from the sky.
They ascend to the paradise after death.

Angels never deserve to die,
But the most of them are already there.
