I’m not a stranger to the fear,

They run away who once were near,
As they have seen a witch’s mark.
“She’s too discerning, too perceptive,

“Still waters run deep,” looking through me,
They say repeatedly this phrase.
Yet they don’t know how my heart’s blooming
Under the limpid full moon phase…
I still believe that there’s a human
Who won’t be scared of my true form.
Form of a keen yet gentle woman,
But not a beast bringing the storm…

The proverb “Still waters run deep” means many things, but in this particular context it can be interpreted as ‘in the quiet waters the devils are found’.
