Thinking of us and our life in the Universe,
Let’s not be trapped in stereotypes of life.
Metaphors of love and death, obverse and reverse –
Life file scenarios – sweep out rampant and rife.
Life has in store for us lots of barriers
Barring us from happy days under the stars –
Hatred of many bombs, missiles, and aircraft carriers,
Arrays of foes willing to turn the Earth into Mars.
Many mean earthlings (or rather aliens)
Try to keep hold us under their thumb,
Saying that saying that is the incorrect dalliance –
Those funky uglians wanting to make us numb.
We need to smash them into further than the Stone Age –
Far away to the dark noplace, to which they belong.
This our strike-back must be our longed-for, sage,
Stinging response. Let's be sturdy and strong!
