A Dream

I had a dream last night
That I was looking in your eyes
And we were standing at a skating rink
While I was holding your face in my palms.

I felt you didn't want to go this time,
You made a choice to be right by my side,
That you were wrong and never felt so warm
Except the moments you were at my home.

And when you held me strongly I believed again
That this is it and thus it should have been,
That I forgive you once again for all
And we shall go back home where you belong.

But then the moonlight touched my eyes
And I woke up alone this winter night
Still feeling warmth of your hand in mine
But it was just a dream and I must say “goodbye”…
