Maglor and the Star

Цветочная Сова
I'll give you up my shiny girl
My little star my roaming fire
Roam in the waters dark and deep,
Until the world will change its shape.
Thy coziness I don't deserve
I don't deserve thy blazing power
We thought it's ours but wrong were we,
And all our war was just a shame.

And all our war was just a war,
Not any beautiful idea:
Fighting for beauty,  we forgot
That beauty has to live in peace.
And there you fall my little girl
For no one in the world to steal ya -
The one for whom we gave the oath
From which we knew there's no release.

For which we knew there's no excuse, -
Too many souls we made unhappy.
Too many souls were sent to hell
With our sharp and blazing blades.
Our father looked at you, amused:
He never knew it could have happen.
He couldn't see how low we fell
Believing we're the only blessed.

Believing we're the only ones
Who have the right to serve you, maidens -
Three tiny sisters, little stars,
Cast into diamond-looking stones.
But now the truth has come at last:
We've cut ourselves apart from heavens.
And now your fire's no longer ours,
And never will be, I suppose.

Go on, pure being! I know you will.
And I will be - who else there will be?
Who else will sing of beauty lost
Beneath the waves of sleepy sea?
The waters are so dark and still,
Your rays are piercing them like silver
Enchanted blades - and I'm the first
To let you go and set you free.

And since now on I'm here to stay:
I have some bread, I have my hornpipe.
I have some wine to make me sleep,
But I have thrown my away my blade.
And there it goes: a tune of pain,
That has been hidden deep inside me -
Before this tune of sore and grief
I couldn't play.
But now I've played.
