A bad outcome they did inherit
When one family bought a parrot.
But soon it was clear he was crude:
The feathered inveterate was rude.
Oh no, yes, and he’d begin to tweet
Words that I dare not repeat.
Behold one day everyone went out.
Thieves caught word and broke in
Their house.
Polly heard they were about,
And really freaked them out.
So frightened was this poor lad,
that he ran from the flat.

Brothers, we must answer for our word,
To save face before the herd.
But anything can happen in life; best live
gentle by ones word rather than the knife.
